Entrance to Equestrian and Hiking Center
No 38: June 9, 2007
The Equestrian and Hiking Center is one of the focal points at the ranch, Hacienda San Joaquín. Others include the River Park, Sunrise at Hacienda San Joaquín (the hotel, conference center and health spa... we've just started work on this complex), the Hiking and Horseback Riding Trails, and the San Joaquín Management Company and Center.
The Entrance to the Equestrian and Hiking Center
The Equestrian and Hiking Center is a multi-dimensional facility. It consists of the covered Entrance (shown in this Glimpse), two Stables (one with 24 stalls, the other with 16), an Organic Ranch Store and Cafe, an Information Center (community bulletin boards, maps of the hiking and horseback riding trails), a Horse Wash and Groom area, two Corrals (one on either side of the stables), and the walled Entranceway to the Hiking and Horseback Riding Trails (which traverse the 663-acre ranch).

The Equestrian and Hiking Center has been described as the finest in Ecuador. In fact, it has been described as the finest in South America. Hopefully, you will visit one day and judge for yourself. Owners can board their horses at their homes, at the Equestrian and Hiking Center, or rent our horses.

This Glimpse features the covered Entrance to the Equestrian and Hiking Center. Future Glimpses will highlight the other facilities at this center. We are about two weeks from the completion of Stable 2. All other facilities are complete.
