The attached photo, like that in Vilcabamba Glimpse #23, was taken from the western side of the ranch, Hacienda San Joaquín.

The ranch, early in the morning.

This early morning photo captures the mystical dimension of this property.

The ranch is often described as peaceful, tranquil and beautiful. All true.

It also has this other quality, captured in this photo, which is not easily defined.

I would add to this short list of descriptives, the word bucolic. For it is that as well.
